If your interested in going for a stroll you might want to walk down around Charlotte Beach Park. During the summer you can take a ride on a carousel that was built in the early 1900's or travel down the boardwalk & pier. There are a few restaurants and bars around the park and on those really hot days there is Abotts Ice Cream on the corner of Beach Ave & Lake Ave.

Note: Shelters are available May 15 through October 15 only. There are no park entrance fees.
A permit is required for access to shelters. Call the reservations office at 585-256-4951 to obtain a permit.
